With the essence of the Mediterranean Sea at heart, Mare Nostrum is a Modern Casual Restaurant that brings an intense experience of taste and flavors in a casual and relaxed space. All dishes in Mare Nostrum have been developed so that the customers can come with friends and family for any occasion.

Our Space

Inspired by the Mediterranean Sea, the dinning area brings a bright and peaceful space to enjoy the complete dinning experience of Mare Nostrum while the Bar area brings a cozier space to relax with friends while having one of our unique cocktails.

Our Kitchen

Mare Nostrum’s gastronomical offering is designed by Michelin Star Chefs Oriol Castro, Mateu Casañas and Eduard Xatruch. They met each other over 16 years ago in the kitchen of the internationally-recognised elBulli restaurant. In 2012 they began their entrepreneurial journey opening Compartir Cadaques. After their initial success they decided to begin their expansion with the acclaimed restaurant Disfrutar Barcelona, 9th Best Restaurant in the World. And now, they are ready for their first ever international advisory project by assisting in the opening of Mare Nostrum in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Our Management

Mare Nostrum was conceptualized by Marc Mallolas, an entrepreneur born and raised in Barcelona. With a strong Mediterranean culture, Marc fell in love with Indonesia and decided to bring its cuisine to Jakarta. For Mare Nostrum, he envisioned a modern cuisine inspired by the Mediterranean culture and decided to partner with the innovative chefs from Barcelona. Mare Nostrum is part of Mallolas Group, PT Mallolas Mitra Indonesia.
